Furniture Care
Oil finished pieces should occasionally be treated with a natural
citrus-basedcleaner which will feed and clean the wood, and bring out a beautiful patina.
For pieces with a sealed or lacquered finish, we recommend dry dusting or dusting
with a lightly dampened cloth (do not over wet) and occassional cleaning with a natural citrus-based cleaner.
Do not use aerosal products, harsh chemical cleaners, and products containing ammonia.
Use of coasters is a always a good idea on any real wood furniture. Avoid placing hot items directly on your furniture.
Exposure to chemicals and solvents such as nail polish remover or paint thinner can damage your furniture's finish.
Wood is a natural product that responds to your home's environment.
Avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight as UV can cause wood to fade as well as increase the potential for season splits. Do not place wood furniture near sources of heat such as fireplaces and heater vents.
Avoid abrupt changes in temperature and humidity.
